An Analytical Study of Simulation Education Research in Korean Nursing - Focused on The Validity of Simulation Implementation Process
Yoo Seung-Yeon

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the validity of simulation implementation process in Korean nursing and to make suggestions for future studies.

Methods: 52 researches from 2002 to 2013 were analyzed by theoretical rationale.

Results: Main venues were simulation room, but a few studies was done at nursing lab. Simulation scenarios were mainly developed through literature review and participants`` major role was nurse and the equipment was well equipped. In most studies, there were debriefing plan, and learning objectives were established before simulation implementation, but the participants¡¯ expected outcomes were presented insufficiently. The detailed script, actors and props were not well stated. The rehearsals were conducted improperly and the technical support was also not enough. But the feedback (debriefing) was provided in most studies. Various outcomes were evaluated excepts simulation design and rehearsal-derived time management was insufficient. Expert validity was obtained in many studies, but there was lack of faculties`` preparation. The team consists of small group.

Conclusion: Many studies made a lot of effort to ensure validity, but more attention is needed for setting that imitate the actual environment with sufficient realism and the development of the field of technical support, rehearsals, faculties`` preparation.
